Casey Tamil Manram (CTM) is a not-for-profit organization primarily focusing on the growth and continuity of the Tamil language and culture amongst the Australian Tamil community.
The cultural events, competitions and workshops organized by CTM work to provide a platform for creative and talented individuals, promoting the harmonious integration of the Tamil community into the Australian multicultural society. These events and programs empower the older members of the Tamil community by allowing them to guide and enlighten the younger generation of their culture and values, encouraging them to carry on the traditions.
We conduct monthly senior programs in Berwick, annual events celebrating major Tamil festivals, namely the Tamil Festival Victoria (Thai Pongal) and Aadipirrappu. Additionally, we release a bi-annual magazine called ‘Illavenil” which gives Australian based upcoming Tamil writers an opportunity to showcase their talents.
